Will Bergmann

Will is a friend of mine from the University at Buffalo. Will and I have been working together on a side photography project with a refugee organization in Buffalo, NY. After one of the meetings, Will knew some pretty cool spots around Buffalo so we decided to go on an urban exploration adventure around the area.

Baby Allison

4 months ago, my niece Allison was born. I flew down from Buffalo the night before Allison’s baby shower and on the day of the shower I received a text message from my brother in law at 6am saying that they were already on their way to the hospital. He mentioned that there was a possibility that my sister was going to give birth that very morning. A few hours into their baby shower, we received a phone call that my sister gave birth to a baby girl :)

Holding her for the first time was such a precious experience. She was the tiniest thing ever and I remember feeling terrified because I didn’t want to crush her with my heavy fat arms. I’ve never really considered myself a  ”kids” kind of guy but when you have one as part of your family, it is really one of the greatest experiences ever and kids really do grow on you. It’s fun watching the behind the scenes work on raising a child too. I think my sister has been secretly… ok…maybe the better word would be “subliminally”  trying to make me learn how to change Allison’s diaper. That’ll never happen. hahaha

Little Allison is growing up so quickly, I feel old.

Melissa K. - Just wanted to say theses are such beautiful photos. Such a cute family. :D10/26/2011 – 1:44 am

JASON+THERESA

I had the opportunity to be Jennifer Sosa’s second photographer for a wedding in July :) This was my second time ever going into Long Beach. A few years ago, a couple of friends and I were fined/ticketed because we were taking photos on Long Beach during late hours haha. Jason and Theresa were so sweet and their wedding was SUPER ARTSY. They are both very creative individuals and have incredible DANCE SKILLS. We also got to meet and work alongside a really great video group that documented the wedding: http://mpwmedia.net/

LEIGH ANN & JEREMY

Back in May, I had the chance to be a second shooter for JENNIFER SOSA . I was able to meet Leigh Ann and Jeremy through one of Jenn’s engagement sessions early on in the year. Leigh Ann and Jeremy’s wedding was held in Bubbys (DUMBO Brooklyn, NY). Their wedding was filled with such a warm and cozy atmosphere as well as heartfelt speeches from both friends and family. I especially loved the theme of their wedding and all the decoration. Leigh Ann and Jeremy was so much fun to work with as well! If I could invent a word for them, it would be: AWECOOLSOME (COOL+AWESOME). Also, a huge huge huge thanks to Joann Pan for being the best human light stand as well :)

Bonnie - So is the bride (and groom!). Moms know these things!!! Great photos, Justin!08/24/2011 – 10:19 pm
